Psalm 85Psalm 86Psalm 87Psalm 88Romans 3Psalm 85
1
<> LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.
2
Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.
3
Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned [thyself] from the fierceness of thine anger.
4
Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.
5
Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?
6
Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
7
Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.
8
I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
9
Surely his salvation [is] nigh them that fear him that glory may dwell in our land.
10
Mercy and truth are met together righteousness and peace have kissed [each other].
11
Truth shall spring out of the earth and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
12
Yea, the LORD shall give [that which is] good and our land shall yield her increase.
13
Righteousness shall go before him and shall set [us] in the way of his steps.

2
Preserve my soul for I [am] holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
3
Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.
4
Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
5
For thou, Lord, [art] good, and ready to forgive and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
6
Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer and attend to the voice of my supplications.
7
In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
8
Among the gods [there is] none like unto thee, O Lord neither [are there any works] like unto thy works.
9
All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord and shall glorify thy name.
10
For thou [art] great, and doest wondrous things: thou [art] God alone.
11
Teach me thy way, O LORD I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
12
I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
13
For great [is] thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
14
O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent [men] have sought after my soul and have not set thee before them.
15
But thou, O Lord, [art] a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
16
O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.
17
Shew me a token for good that they which hate me may see [it], and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

2
The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
3
Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.
4
I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia this [man] was born there.
5
And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.
6
The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, [that] this [man] was born there. Selah.
7
As well the singers as the players on instruments [shall be there]: all my springs [are] in thee.
topoPsalm 88
2
Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry
3
For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.
4
I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man [that hath] no strength:
5
Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.
6
Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.
7
Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted [me] with all thy waves. Selah.
8
Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me thou hast made me an abomination unto them: [I am] shut up, and I cannot come forth.
9
Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.
10
Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise [and] praise thee? Selah.
11
Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? [or] thy faithfulness in destruction?
12
Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
13
But unto thee have I cried, O LORD and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee.
14
LORD, why castest thou off my soul? [why] hidest thou thy face from me?
15
I [am] afflicted and ready to die from [my] youth up: [while] I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.
16
Thy fierce wrath goeth over me thy terrors have cut me off.
17
They came round about me daily like water they compassed me about together.
18
Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, [and] mine acquaintance into darkness.
topoRomans 3
1
What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit [is there] of circumcision?
2
Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.
3
For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
4
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
5
But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? [Is] God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
6
God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
7
For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
8
And not [rather], (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
9
What then? are we better [than they]? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin
10
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13
Their throat [is] an open sepulchre with their tongues they have used deceit the poison of asps [is] under their lips:
14
Whose mouth [is] full of cursing and bitterness:
15
Their feet [are] swift to shed blood:
16
Destruction and misery [are] in their ways:
17
And the way of peace have they not known:
18
There is no fear of God before their eyes.
19
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.
21
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets
22
Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
24
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25
Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God
26
To declare, [I say], at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27
Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
29
[Is he] the God of the Jews only? [is he] not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30
Seeing [it is] one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31
Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
